Ok so my mom agreed to let me get a motorcycle instead of a car, but she hasen 't seen the one i want yet. i need some good facts to help me convince her to let me get a ninja 250 as my first bike. things like "ya it 's a sports bike but it 's a 250 so it 's not very much more power than a regular 250 " or "i want it because of it 's awesome sex appeal, i don 't care about the power. "also for those wondering i can 't get a 650 because permits only allow 250 's.i 'm gonna get a car later, a bike is just the only legal way to get myself to work and school till i get my license. Bike has 1,120 miles on it. and i 'm thinking about buying it from a kawasaki dealership. the price they want for it is $3,295. the out the door price is $3,663. is this a good deal? should i jump on it or ask them to lower the price. if so, at what low point should i start negotiating the price? 1989 Honda Hurricane 600 Vs. 1989 Kawasaki Ninja 600?
I have the chance to buy either one of these bikes and unfortunately can 't have both right now. pros for the bikes:low miles (under 10,000 each) and are adult ridden.very good condition.bikes are not wrecked or have been in accidents.all maintenance has been done to each bike.i 've checked and parts are plentiful for each bike either new or used.cons for each bike:hurricane: owner is in a different state and i 'm not sure how difficult it would be to get the title registered in my name. the bike is 3 hours away.ninja: owner claims to have lost the title but is willing to sign a proof of ownership contract and is willing to guarantee that he is the owner of the bike or my money back. that 's the only issue with the bikes is title issues. both bikes are 90% or better for being original and the is only a $200 difference in price. has anyone ridden these bikes and what are your thoughts. i 've driven a 1990 ninja 600 (20 years ago) and was very impressed but haven 't driven the hurricane. Do They Make Fairing Kits For 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250r's?
I pulled into a gas station to see a beautiful '07 ninja 250 and asked the guy coming out of the store if it was for sale, he said yes, and for a good price... although i 'm more than happy to purchase the bike, the design of the '07 compared to the more recent models is a bit "blocky " and not as sleek or sexy looking as the '08 - '12. i haven 't been able to locate a fairing kit for an '07, which with a fender reduction kit and a smaller windscreen, it think would make it look less "blocky "... any suggestions, websites, or shops i should call?? i 'm in the jacksonville area, but id be willing to travel a few hundred miles or so for a good kit, preferably matte black if anyone can find one, much thanks!! Is A Kawasaki 250r Or A Kawasaki Ninja Zx6r A Good Beginners Bike?
Hello all. i have recently decided to start riding motorcycles. i am 5 '8 and 178 pounds. i have no riding experience. i have been looking at both motorcycles and it seems half of people say the zx6r will kill a beginner while the other half say the 250r is too slow and a 600cc is perfectly fine for a beginner. let it be known that i do not have a death wish. i will not be driving around at 100 mph to impress my friends with any bike. 95 percent of my riding will be done at 30 mph through town while the other 5 percent will be highway at 75 mph tops. i will also be enrolling in a msf basic riders course.that being said, what bike would you recommend. thank you for any help. Which Kawasaki Ninja Zx-10r Do You Like Better?
1st gen (2004-2005) aka "the widowmaker " lol, 2nd gen (2006-2007), 3rd gen (2008-2010), or 4th gen (2011-2012)? i have a 1st gen and, from what i 've read, they 've been watering down the power ever since then. i just love the raw mid-range power of the 1st gen though. i heard that all the newer ones are nothing but top-end. as for looks, i also think the 1st gen is the best looking out of the four. i absolutely hate the bulky underseat dual exhausts on the 2nd gen, and the 3rd and 4th gen front ends remind me of the ugly front ends of the old ninja 500r 's. but these are all just my opinions. i 'd like to know everyone else 's, especially since i 've never rode any of the newer ones.
